Ryan Bowie

RYAN BOWIE, a graduate of Frostburg State University with a BA in Theatre-Acting and BA in Music-Vocal Performance, joined the Roxy Regional Theatre as Director of Fundraising and Development in January 2011, later taking the reins as Executive Director in July 2016. Ryan made his Roxy Regional Theatre acting debut as Jinx in Forever Plaid and has since appeared as Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Almira Gulch in Miss Gulch Returns, St. Jimmy in Green Day's American Idiot, The Baker in Into the Woods, Jonathan Harker in Frank Wildhorn’s Dracula: The Musical, Ernst in Spring Awakening, Sir Robin in Monty Python’s Spamalot and Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show, among many others. He has also served as director and/or choreographer at the Roxy for Smokey Joe's Cafe, The Million Dollar Quartet, The Happy Elf, The Rocky Horror Show (2016), The Giver, Ain’t Misbehavin’ and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. Other professional performance credits include Jesus in Godspell (New York), Hamilton in the NYC premier of Dotty Dot: A New Children’s Musical, Freddy in My Fair Lady (Midwest), Jonas in The Giver (Chicago), Ryan in High School Musical (Midwest), Jack Chesney in Charlie’s Aunt (Midwest), Dick in Dames at Sea (Maryland), J. Pierpont Finch in How to Succeed… (New York), and Matt in The Fantasticks (New York – tour).
