Jennifer Bakst is the Resident Director at the Tricycle Theatre. As director, her work includes El Giro, Daniel and The Darkest Part of the Night as rehearsed readings at the Tricycle Theatre, Armstrong’s War and The Flouers o’Edinburgh at the Finborough Theatre; Pocatello at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts; Letters, Signs and Songs as a charity gala at Shakespeare’s Globe; Bash at the Etcetera Theatre; Acis and Galatea at the Arcola Theatre; and L’elisir d’amore at Fine Arts Theatre, USA. Work as assistant and associate director includes Ugly Lies the Bone and the upcoming The Great Wave at the National Theatre; Handbagged (UK Tour), A Wolf in Snakeskin Shoes, Ben Hur, The Mother and The Invisible Hand at the Tricycle Theatre; Dessa Rose at Trafalgar Studios; and Samson et Dalila at Deutsche Oper Berlin. Jennifer Bakst translated Summer 14 (Oberon Books) from German to English for performance at the Finborough Theatre.
